Shannon moved to Austin with a friend from home in September of 2019- eager to explore a new city and meet new people. Little did she know she was about to become inseparable with one of those new people. *enter Hinesh*

Hinesh had been living in Austin since 2017, after getting an electrical engineering job there after graduating college. 

Shannon and Hinesh had their first date in October 2019 at Lazarus Brewing, the same place they would later celebrate their engagement. The choice of brewery was their first lesson in compromise: Hinesh pitched a spot in North Austin (where he lived), Shannon hinted that it felt too far away (Shannon lived downtown), so they compromised by having Hinesh make the drive downtown in the thick of Austin traffic. 

Joking aside, it wasn’t long after this date that they made things official. And then came Covid, the ultimate fast-forward button that had them spending all their time together, with nothing on the agenda but take-out margaritas and really getting to know each other.

When the world opened back up, they hit full bloom—trading stay-at-home dates for table-for-two outings and suitcases packed to the brim—proving that the couple who eats and travels together, stays together. 

Shannon and Hinesh have built a life together that they adore-a cozy home in Austin with their sweet pup, Rae. They can’t wait to see what else this life has in store for them and are thrilled to celebrate their union with all of you who have watched their story unfold first hand.
